From Artificial Intelligence to Intelligence Definition Models (De l'intelligence artificielle aux modèles de définition de l'intelligence) Conference
"I want to propose to take artificial intelligence in the opposite direction. This notion, which is vague and refers to very heterogeneous computational approaches, is based on an opposition between human and machine that it is necessary to question. What if we used the different algorithms not to delegate to them tasks that would be typically "human" - comprehension, interpretation, decision making... - but to build formal models that define what we mean by 'human'? I will base my analysis on three case studies: a series of algorithms we are developing to define the concept of variation in the epigrams of the Palatine Anthology, the artificial language IEML created by Pierre Lévy, and the chatGPT chatbot that has been the talk of the town since it went online in November 2022."
